L.I.V.E Library Project

 L.I.V.E library project

(LIBRARY  TO  IMPROVE  VILLAGE  EDUCATION)

“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.”

– Jim Rohn

                                                         Amona Panchayat Library

The vigilant students, of Sakhali LAC with cell incharge Mr. Aditya Parab,  noticed that very few aspirants from Goa, managed to ‘crack’ competitive exams. They attributed this to the lack of preparatory materials available in the local libraries.

They with the help of the then, Director, Dr. B.S. Patil, approached the authorities and managed to get funds for the library.

The success of this project fuelled their enthusiasm and led to extension of the project to other villages too.

SIMULTANEOUSLY  DECIDED TO TAKE FORWARD THIS INITIATIVE IN OTHER VILLAGE PANCHAYATS ALSO.

The L.I.V.E project is now functional at many village panchayats, including Amona, Mulgao, Moira, Valpoi, Parye Sattari, Shirgao Bicholim, Assonora, Goa.

The next step was  getting e learning facilities to keep up with the current scenario.

Students with the Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, appraising him of the L.I.V.E Project, and receiving his appreciation!

The Motivated Students dedicate their success to their dynamic Cell Incharges, Faculty in Charges, Dr. B.S. Patil  (Former Director, Legal Aid Society), Dr.  Shaber Ali (Director, Legal Aid Society) and Dr. M.R.K. Prasad (Principal)
